Product Description
Hungry for something different? Then try America's Best BBQ. Here, two of the world's top barbecue experts present their favorite barbecue recipes from across America.

Only Ardie and Paul, the go-to sources on barbecue, can earn the trust--and the secret recipes--from some of the nation's barbecue legends.

Tasty sides include tips, tricks, techniques, fun memorabilia, full-color photos, and firsthand recollections of tales from the pits culled from over a century of combined barbecue experience.

With more than 100 recipes for mouthwatering starters, moist and flavorful meats, classic side dishes, sauces and rubs, and decadent desserts, this book should come with its own wet-nap.

* Whether it's spicy or sweet, Texas or Memphis, this is the best collection of American barbecue recipes.

* Ardie's BBQ alter ego, Remus Powers, PhB, has earned profiles in many barbecue books, tons of magazines, and more than a few national newspapers. He's graced the Food Network and PBS, appearing in various documentaries on 'cue and great American cuisine.

* Paul has appeared on The Today Show, Discovery Channel, CBS This Morning, Talk Soup, and Anthony Bourdain's A Cook's Tour: In Search of the Perfect Meal. He was also featured in AARP's Modern Maturity Magazine, Saveur, and The Calgary Herald, and he has written articles for Food ∧ Wine, Fine Cooking, and Chili Pepper magazine.

4 out of 5 stars Great planning tool for a roady!   August 11, 2010
Nick Rath (Malibu, CA)
The pictures and reviews were great! The recipes were wonderful and have me packing for a roady to visit some of these places.

5 out of 5 stars Run to read & excellent recommendations   May 18, 2010
trlamb (Salem, OR USA)
In May 2010, we tried 5 places from this book in Memphis, North Carolina, and Kansas City. Each restaurant deserved its recommendation and was worth the time and effort to find. I'll be keeping this book handy for future advice.

5 out of 5 stars AMERICA'S BEST BBQ   May 7, 2010

If you are looking for a gift for someone that likes to cook out, this is the book!

I ordered one to look at and planned on giving to our oldest son. Well, My husband liked it so well, he ended up with it. I then ordered two more and will give to my two sons for their birthday. They both love to cook and this book makes it easy to follow.

There is a great receipe from Van's Pig Stand Shawnee, Ok in there. I used to eat there when we lived in Shawnee. Try the rebaked potatoes. Wonderful!

2 out of 5 stars Nice to look at, not great recipes   May 1, 2010
K. Whisenhunt (Northern California)
I bought this book for the recipes and I was pretty disappointed. The recipes aren't great and a lot of them aren't practical at all (roasting a whole pig). It was nice to look at but not a great recipe book

5 out of 5 stars book review   December 6, 2009
G. M. Obrosky (Akron, OH, US)
This book presents a wide range of unpretentious recipes from across the U.S. It is something that could only have come from all these places and sampled a large variety of local foods. The story alone is enough to make it an good book.
