4 out of 5 stars Short, but informative   February 23, 2010
J. Shetrone (Christiansburg, VA United States)
This was a short read, but informative! There was a lot I already know, but there were also some things that surprised me, like that Chik-Fil-A has some of the healthiest sandwiches and the ranking of what restaurants are considered healthier than others. I also liked the non-restaurant specific section that covered the best options for different types of cuisine, like Mexican and Chinese. I don't know that making these swaps is enough alone for someone to lose 30 pounds, but it is a good starter guide for making better choices.

4 out of 5 stars Good stuff!   February 13, 2010

We have all the "Eat This, Not That" books...AND the new "COOK This, Not That." They have been GREAT!

We liked them so much, we gave them as gifts. (I think we offended some people by giving it to them!)

They are "real life" scenarios...so, it's better than the other "diet" books, in my opinion. You're GOING TO eat at McDonald's...so, order "A," instead of "B!"

Real life, good stuff!

3 out of 5 stars Interesting book   February 8, 2010
R. Budny (Torrington, CT United States)
It's a nice book to have for a reference if you are trying to eat right and healthy and every once in a while you gotta have that fast food.

5 out of 5 stars Great reference   January 31, 2010

What a handy book. Some of the more obvious things you already know but be prepared for some surprises. I want to read the rest of the series. Although not all the restaruants mentioned in this book are in this area most of the references are relative. Definitely good coffee table...or make that kitchen table reading!

5 out of 5 stars Enlightening! Get it??   January 7, 2010

Makes you aware of small changes that make big differences! Makes a great stocking stuffer!
